The Techniques Challenge - #8 Velvet Nails

Hi Girls!

Today's challenge is Velvet Nails and I have to confess, that I have been waiting for this post for month now!
I have bought my velvet from a local store (approx. 3 RON, that is less then 1 EUR) and I have chosen blue :-).

Products I have used:
  • Farmec - Pool Party
  • Farmec Collection - Nr. 200 ((clear polish, to stick the velvet to the nails). I have tried with a top coat too, but it dried before I managed to appy the velvet, so I needed something that dries ... well, slowly.
  • Noname velvet from a local store
  • Born Pretty Store Nail Studs

I like it how the Farmec polish has almost the same color as the velvet.

The next challenge will be One Stroke and will be posted on the 7th of October, 2013.

T.P.A. Group Challenge: 5. Inspired by a Country

Hi Girls!

I have thought about this manicure for a few days and I couldn't find the perfect design :-(.
Finally I decided to do something with the German flag's colors and this is the result:

Products I have used:
  • Bourjois - Rouge in style
  • Flormar SuperShine - Nr. 41
  • Born Pretty Store - Black Stamping Polish
  • Stamping plate

I really like how the yellow color looks on my nails. After 3 coats the Flormar polish covers perfectly.

The next challenge will be Inspired by Tattos and will be posted on the 5th of October, 2013

Let's check out the other participants too:

NOTD - Golden Rose Holiday Nr. 54

Hi Girls!

I am having this beautiful polish on for two days (without top coat) and I decided that it's time to show it to you too :-).

Golden Rose Holiday - Nr. 54

I have brought it along with Golden Rose Holiday - Nr. 55. This one has an interesting brownish-grayish color and it's textured!

And now a little close-up:

Isn't it gorgeous? I am love with the Golden Rose Holiday polishes and with Golden Rose in general.

I remember a feeeew years ago (aprox. 10 years) Golden Rose was associated with cheap polishes, something that only my grandmother would wear. Today I am dying for Golden Rose! Maybe my grandmother know something I didn't? :-)

NOTD - Golden Rose Holiday Nr. 55

Hi Girls!

I finally found this beautiful polish and I can't get enough of it! I was searching for it for about a month and I can tell you that it was totally worth searching for it!

It is easy to apply, dries quickly and lasts incredibly well once applied. I have taken the pictures after 3 days of wearing it and my nails look perfect.

Golden Rose Holiday - Nr. 55

This is a textured polish of a light blue and silver color.

Isn't this polish just fabulous?

The Techniques Challenge - #7 Fishtail

Hi Girls!

Today I've finally managed to post my challenge manicure on time!
This is my second attempt for the Fishtail design. The first time I have used a dark green instead of the pink, but the brush was too wide and ruined the design :-(

Products I have used:
  • China Glaze - Icicle
  • Gabrini - Nr. C06 (blue)
  • Gabrini - Nr. 40 (pink)
At first I found this manicure ... strange. But as time passed I got to like it. Now I adore it and want to repeat it :-D.

For the second try I plan to draw more thicker lines. This design seems to make my nails larger than they are in real life.

The next challenge will be Velvet Nails and will be posted on the 30th of September, 2013.

T.P.A. Group Challenge: 4. Inspired by a Season

Hi Girls!

For the theme: Inspired by a Season I have chosen late fall, beginning of winter and that means also the beginning of the preparations for Christmas.

Products I have used:
  • Essence - Nr. 140 Go Bold!
  • Flormar - Nr. 439
  • Flormar - Nr. NA12

Instead of the usual red, I have chosen a darker blue polish and associated it with gold.

Although the design is very simple, with the right combination of color you will surely turn some heads :-).

The next challenge will be Inspired by a Country and will be posted on the 28th of September, 2013

T.N.C.C. - Techniques #1

Hi Girls!

Today I have used the Fan Brush Technique. As you may already know, I am hosting The Techniques Challenge on my blog, so it was a real challenge to find a technique which isn't on TTC Challenge list :-).

Products I have used:
  • Bourjois - Rouge in Style
  • Fan Brush
  • Acrilic paints

First I have applied a red nail polish and then, with the help of the fan brush, I have made two strokes. White from one side and black from the other.

The Techniques Challenge - #6 Stripes

Hi Girls!

Sorry for being late ... again! I am in a constant time crisis since I fund a new passion. When the time is right I will share it with you :-).

Today's manicure is about stripes stripes and stripes and this is my stripes manicure:

Products I have used:
  • Bourjois - Green Fizz
  • Sixteen Polish - the number is not visible anymore :-(. I have brought this polish in Rhodes this summer and wore it continuously while I was there. It's and extremely resistant polish. I saw no chipping after 4 days of baving in the sea, sunbathing and "playing" in the sand.:-)
  • Flormar Nail Art - NA01
  • Flormar Nail Art - NA 12

The next challenge will be Fish Tail and will be posted on the 23rd of September, 2013.
