Challenge 24: Inspired by a Flag

Hi Girls!

I'm so sorry for being this late with this manicure!
I went to bed really late ... or really early in the morning, I am not sure :-D. Besides, there is a Nivea tent in the city center I couldn't miss. They tested my skin (their tester says that I have dry skin but I could swear it's rather oily) and I got loooots of free samples of body lotions, shampoo, baby body lotion, different day creams, BB Cream and tiny little cute Nivea creams. I love them!

And now back to our challenge :-). I have chosen the flag of Trinidad and Tobago because I find it  manicureble (manicureble is my new word creation and it means that a something, a pattern, can be used as a manicure design) :-D.

Products I have used:
  • Bourjois - Nr. 11 Rouge in style
  • Flormar - Nr. NA 12
  • Flormar - Nr. NA 01

Hi Girls!

For the Cool challenge I have chosen a neon pink polish. As far as I am concerned, neon is the new black ... and black is cool!

  • Black stamping polish - from Born Pretty Store, item nr. 1324, that you can find here.
  • Noname stamping plate brought from ebay.com

Challenge 23: Half Moons

Hi Girls!

It's time for  new challenge and this time it's about half moons.
I always liked half moons manicures but I never dared to try one...this time I had to  :-)
My manicure is not a conventional Half Moons manicures, because instead of using nail polish, my half moons are made of glitters :-D

Products I have used:
  • Gabrini (Summer Collection) - Nr. C 06 -> This is a great polish! Quick dry, very pigmented, resistant on the nails. The one thing that bothers me, that after removing it, my hands are all blue. I feel like an Avatar :-D
  • Silver and black glitters

The Polishes Challenge: 5. Warm

Hi Girls!

I always associate warm with yellow (I guess I am not alone with this), so for today's warm manicure I have chosen some "old" yellow polishes. In fact, they are my first acquisitions from this color.

I have combined the two yellow shades with an unused white polish and a black liner.

Products I have used:
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish - Nr. 55 Sunshine
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish Fruities - Nr. 58 Lemon Drop (when dried, this polish has a light lemon scent)
  • Miss Sporty - Nail Tip Whitener
  • Flormar - Nr. NA12

Gradient - It's Not Rocket Science

Hi Girls!

I have told you in one of my earlier posts, that I had found an old sponge in a box. Since then I just can't stop thinking of gradient manicures!

Gradient manicures always were like my big manicure nightmares! I could never get the result I pictured in my head. Armed with extra patience and motivation, I selected the base polish. I have chosen it mainly because of it's name: It's not rocket science :-).

I proudly present my gradient manicure:

Products I have used:
  • Orly - It's not rocket sciencem, from the Cosmic FX Fall 2010 Collection.
  • Farmasi - Nr. 83 (black)
  • THE sponge

Hi Girls!

I am back with the Chaos&Crocodiles series!

Today I am going to show you Three Little Words.

The Polishes Challenge: 4. Neutral

Hi Girls!

For this challenge I have chosen a polish that brought a while ago...but I have no idea why!
I wore it for the first time today and even my boss said that I have an "uninteresting" polish. This says a lot about it, don't you think?

Challenge 21: Inspired by Artwork

Hi Girls!

Artwork...artwork....artwork... This is how my last week looked like. Every day, constantly thinking about artwork. Googeling manicures, artworks, looking for some kind of inspiration....but nothing. I have absolutely no idea what to do with this challenge. I am stuck.

I was always fascinated by optical illusions and planned to do an optical illusion manicure someday. This day is today.

Products I have used:
  • Rimmel - Nr. 400 Blue Vogue
  • Konad - White stamping polish
  • Rimmel - Matte Finish
  • Noname stamping plate, brought from ebay.com

Farmec Collection Polishes

Hi Girls!

I have recently got a pleasant surprise from Farmec: they have sent over 4 polishes from their new collection :-). Farmec has been producing polishes for a while now, but this is the first collection with such vivid colors. Yeeee! The new collection is also available online, here.
An interesting fact about this collection is that the shades will changed continuously and will be adapted to the actual trends and season.

What I like about the new Farmec Collection:
  • vivid colors, very pigmented
  • nice little bottles
  • each shade has it's own name
  • glossy finish even without a top coat
  • they look a lot better applied on the nail than they look in the bottle. So don't be fooled by appearances!

The Polishes Challenge: 3. Three Colors

Hi Girls,

Here is the third manicure from our new Untried Polish Challenge!

This manicure was supposed to be a camouflage design but as I started painting I couldn't get my mind off a sponge I found in an old box and I decided to make this a sponge manicure.
In fact, a camouflage sponge manicure :-).

Products I have used:
  • Miss Sporty - Nr. 475 (base color). With a little exaggeration I can tell that I hate Miss Sporty polishes. I have brought 4 of them (I am an optimist) but I hate all of them! They all look so nice in those round little bottles, such a great marketing but the formula is a disaster. It's damn hard to apply them without having those ugly....polish lines. I am sure you all know what I mean.
  • Natty - Nr. 363. Great polish at an extreme low price. I got this bottle for only 2 RON. That's about 0.50 EUR or 0.60 USD.
  • Farmasi - Nr. 83. Classic black polish that stinks (maybe because it contains to many chemicals)! I don't recommend it.

Chaos & Crocodiles - Reminiscence

Hi Girls!

Today I would like to present you another Chaos & Crocodile polish. I find it important to highlight, that these polishes are all handmade by Sarey, 3-free and cruelty-free!
The story about how I got to own these beauties you find in this blog post.

The star of today's post is: Reminiscence!

What Sarey sais about this polish: "Reminiscence is made with holographic turquoise, blue, purple, and pink micro glitter with a stunning purple shimmer. It looks amazing layered over your favorite polish and can also be worn alone at 3 coats."

Challenge 20: Glitter

Hi Girls!

I have to start today's post with a confession: I am glitter addicted! ..... Now we can continue :-)

I am so excited about today's challenge! I have this manicure ready since Wednesday and I just can't wait to show it to you!

Products I have used:
  • OPI -  I Saw… You Saw… We Saw… Warsaw (blue base color)
  • China Glaze - Icicle (silver strip below under the glitters)
  • Glitters (silver, gold and blue. I have added the one by one. It took me approximately 30 minutes to finish one hand)
