Reflect On The Season & Nail Art Jewlery

I am posting this year's Christmas manicure before it slowly turns into New Year's Eve's manicure!

Santa hasn't forgotten about my passion for nail polishes this year either :-)
On Christmas Eve, under the tree there were many many boxes for me and one of them contained:

China Glaze Reflect On The Season Christmas Trio Gift set

China Glaze Reflect On The Season set includes 3 nail polish shades from the Twinkle collection:
  • Chillin' With My Snow-Mies 14 ml [Nr. 81936]
  • Out Like a Light 14 ml [Nr. 81926]
  • Tip Your Hat 14 ml [Nr. 81931]
  • China Glaze mirror & pouch

As I've mentioned in one of my previous posts (My first nail art ring), I still have two items from www.ladyqueen.com to show you.
For today I have chosen the Joint Ring Set, item nr. SP0300, available by clicking here.
For only 2.03 USD / 1.66 EUR you will get 3 rings, each with fix 17 mm diameter.

The first ring I have tried has a little star on it. Very cute!
On two of my fingers I am wearing Out Like a Light, a dark gray polish which only needs one coat. On the rest of the fingers you can see Tip Your Hat, a very interesting color. It is something between red and a darker fuchsia. I don't like wearing THE red polish (way to feminine for me) but I enjoy this shade.

The second ring is like a mini engagement ring! More than very cute ... super very cute!
As top coat I have used  Chillin' With My Snow-Mies; white hexagonal glitters in a clear base.

The third ring in a mini blue planet with an orbiting asteroid belt :-)

... and here all three rings on my finger, at the same time:

China Glaze polishes are free of DBP, toluene and added formaldehyde.

Happy Holidays!

I also got a 15% off code from Lady Queen, that you can use any time you want.
The code is NZLC15
If the code get's used for 10 times, I will be hosting a giveaway on the blog, sponsored by Lady Queen!

Golden Rose Prodigy Gel Duo - Nr. 09

I was randomly surfing www.cosmania.ro for an eyebrow pencil, when I suddenly ended up at the nail polish section (what a surprise, don't you agree? :-) ) and have found the Prodigy Gel Effect Colour polish. I found it interesting, how it was suppose to last up to 7 days on the nails, if used with the special Top Coat, but I decided not to order it because I have enough nail polishes.

The same day I was on my way to the gym, when I was (again :-) ) suddenly at a Golden Rose stand. The girl who worked there was super friendly and explained how the polish is supposed to last indeed 7 days if I don't do the dishes. Well, I use a dish washer every time so that wasn't an issue and I have payed 37 RON (~ 8.5 EUR) for the polish and top coat limited edition package.

I have chosen one of my favorite nail polish colors: a teal - turquoise, Nr. 09.

http://www.cosmania.ro/cosmetice/unghii/lac-de-unghii/golden-rose-prodigy-gel-duo_1046
I have applied it in coats on Monday morning and with the lovely weather I could take the perfect pictures to show you how beuatiful this color is.

This is a gel effect polish, which means that it will dry in natural light, without a  UV lamp.
I was so excited to be wearing this the whole week!

Unfortunately it seems, that the up to 7 day could also mean 2 and a half days. That was when the polish has started showing sign of wear. It wasn't so bad, but unpleasant, because I had such high hopes after seeing the description of the polishes.

After 5 days this is how my nails look. Disappointing!!!
The light is not so good today, so ignore the color (that remained exactly the same as was on the first day) and take a look at the nails.

I have 3 fingernails in total on which the polish remained intact, but that doesn't make me more happy about my purchase.

Don't get me wrong, I love Golden Rose, I have over 30 bottles of polishes from them, but saying that a product lasts 7 days which after 2 starts chipping and after 5 it looks like in the above pictures, leaves me without words.

I will of course use the polish again, because I just love its radiant color, but I will not be expecting it to last 7 days.

Beauty Bloggers Meeting 4

Today is going to be a special one, because I am going to participate in the 4th edition of the Beauty Bloggers Meeting from Cluj-Napoca.

I just can't believe how fast 3 years have passed. It was only yesterday when I was preparing for the second edition (I did not take part in the first event) :-)

The meeting will be organized at the same nice place: Centrul de Frumuste Farmec.
I am so excited! I have prepared my manicure today, hoping to fit in with the dress code: Sparkle!

Since I'm a nail blogger, my nails will be complying to the dress code and will sparkle!

Jord Wood Watch & KIKO

A little time ago I was contacted by Paul from JORD Wood Watches, and he gave me the chance to try one of the unique JORD Watches. These watches are special because they are made of a variety of wood. This not only makes them special and rare but also light and stylish.

I was able to pick a watch for review from the several interesting models the company offers in the following series:  Core series, Fieldcrest series, Ely series, Sully series and the limited edition Pujols Foundation series. You can take a look at all the watches JORD has to offer, by clicking here.

Embroidery manicure

The following manicure was inspired by the traditional Hungarian embroidery from Transylvania (some pictures here). My grandmother used to spend her free time with this and the whole house was decorated with these beautiful red needlework.

Let's Stamp!

After a long pause I am trying to get back to blogging and manicuring with a stamping manicure:

For this manicure I have used:
  • Golden Rose Selective - Nr. 41 Atomic Green
  • Black Konad stamping polish
  • No-name stamping plate

The Golden Rose Selective polish has a really nice texture, it covers really well (2 coats or 1 thicker coat will do it) and it has a really nice shine.

I have decided to buy some original stamping polishes, because I grew tired of images that do not transfer from the stamper of images which are almost visible on the nail.
I have bought a black, white and red Konad Stamping polish for testing and if they turns out to be what I need, I will get more :-).
So far it looks like my Konad stash will grow!!!
