T.P.A. Group Challenge: 14. Vintage Nails

My Vintage Nails are vintage rather in the color choice than in the design itself. I have chosen two colors that remind me of vintage: gold and black. I especially like curtains with theese colors :-)

Products I have used:
  • Essence Colour & Go - Nr. 140 Go Bold!
  • Black Acrylic paint

Let's check out the other manicures participating at this challenge:

BPS - Gold Nail Decals

A few days ago I have shown you my first nail polish which is of the NailGlaze color. View it by clicking here.
Today I have applied some nail decals over it, which I got from Born Pretty Store for a review.

Products I have used:
  • Classics Glamour - Nr. 150
  • Born Pretty Store - Nail Decals, item Nr. 6229, It contains flower shaped decals in different forms and sizes. You can check it out here.

When I received the decals, I had a really nice surprise. I originally thought that I would get 12 pieces, but instead I found 12 times approx. 25 decals in the package! I now have enough decals for a year! I will definitely show you other designs too.

Farmec - Nr. 31

Today I am going to show you a glitter polish made by Farmec, that has been on the market for a while, but I have never tried it ... until now, when Farmec has sent it to me for a review! Now I love it!

Products I have used:
  • Flormar True Color - Nr. 027
  • Farmec  - Nr. 31 -> This polish is part of the DISCO Collection and is available online, here.

I have applied the glitter topper over a simple black polish, in 1 coat!

Farmec - Nr. 31 has tiny pink, blue and purple glitters in a clear base. I think it looks great combined with a dark base color.

What do you think about it, isn't it gorgeous?!

The NailGlaze Color

I have been searching for the NailGlaze color for almost a year and I finally got a polish that is very similar to this color. I told myself that I have to stop buying polishes, but I couldn't leave the store without this one!

Classics Glamour - Nr. 150

I especially like the contrast between the dark polish and my skin tone.

Beauty Bloggers Annual Meet Up, Second Edition

Today I want to tell you about the Beauty Bloggers Annual Meet Up, Second Edition, which took place on the 16th f November, 2013, in Cluj-Napoca.

It was the first time I participated at such an event and I am glad I did! Thank you Anca, Cleopatra and Laura for inviting me!

The evening started with a very pleasant surprise. On our seats a little purple bag awaited us. It was a goodie-bag from Farmec, containing 5 amazing polishes and one of the best creams I have ever tried (I am not exaggerating!), Doina. I have 3 now: one at work, one at home and one in my bag :-).

Then followed the part I feared most but loved at the end: we introduced ourselves, our blog, what we write about, since when, how we started and so on. It was so good linking the blogs to actual faces!

After the presentation we started a debate on beauty blogging, which I found very helpful. In the break we tasted some Panemar sandwiches and cookies and drank Aqua Carpatica and Oriflame Wellness Tea.

The Coffe Break was followed by the receiving of the goodie-bags. Our sponsors really outdid themselves!
I don't own these pictures

Stay close, because reviews will follow :-)

This event was organised by Anca Pop- All Made up! by Aqua_shell, Coman Cleopatra- Passion For Stylish Life and Laura Mariana- Classy and Pink with the help of the co-organiser, Farmec. The event was sponsored by: Yves Rocher, Elmiplant, NIVEA, Golden Rose Romania, Oriflame, B.U. Romania, Bioderma Romania, Cosmetic Plant, AlhamoDent, Cupio, AQUA Carpatica, Panemar, OnePAds Web Design.

Cafe Latte with Golden Rose

Let's have a cafe latte with Golden Rose :-)

Products I have used:
  • Golden Rose Paris - Nr. 110 (light brown)
  • Golden Rose Paris - Nr. 113 (dark brown)
I really like how this gradient manicure turned out.

Now that autumn is here, I feel that I have to put my pinks and green aside and bow the dust off the good old autumn colors, like brown, dark blue, rotten plum and black :-).

Golden Rose Jolly Jewels - Nr. 117

Today I will show you the second nail polish that I received from Golden Rose Romania. It is from the Jolly Jewels Collection, Nr. 117.

While the Holiday Collection contains textured polishes, the Jolly Jewels Collection is full of colorful glitters.

I have applied 3 coats of this polish. Not because 2 were not enough, but because I am mad about glitters! The polish contains a looot of glitters which make it harder to apply. By harder I mean that it is harder to create a perfect line at your cuticles with it's brush. Next time I use it, I will apply a simple black polish first, as a base color. This way I will not have to worry because of my cuticles.

I find Nr. 117 to be perfect for Christmas or New Years Eve. The black base and the golden glitters create a very special combination and this definitely is a really elegant manicure.

Incoco Stripes - Twill Weave

Have you ever heard about Incoco Stripes? To be honest, I haven't... until I was contacted by them and asked to review their products. I gladly accepted and you can imagine how happy I was to have this opportunity!
The package I have received contained the following:
  • 1 nail color stripe: Autumn Nights
  • 1 nail design stripe: Twill weave
  • 1 french design stripe: Style Tips
  • 1 buffer
  • 2 nail files
  • 2 orange sticks

Incoco (short for  Innovative Cosmetic Concepts) is a company founded in 1984, with its headquarters in Clifton, New Jersey, USA, which produces 100% real nail polish appliques. Using Incoco stripes you will have zero drying time and incredible designs in only a few minutes! I have measured that the first time I applied the stripes I needed 2 minutes / nail. With practice you can get even faster!

Let's see how the stripes look like.

When I first saw the stripes I was skeptical about finding the right stripe for my nail, but in the end it all turned out to be perfect. Let's see why!

Before applying the stripes, clean you nails from nail polish and don't use a base coat or cuticle oil. The cuticle oil part is crucial! Otherwise the stripes won't stick and you will be disappointed by the product. I have used the buffer they have sent me to clean the surface of my nails. I have used only the dark pink part and buffed really gently.

After having your nails cleaned and prepared, find the stripe that fits your nail best. It should rather be smaller than bigger because the stripe can be squeezed gently. This is why everyone shuld find her perfect size!

Apply, squeeze, arrange with the orange stick (included) and just buff the rest off with the little buffer (also included) and you're done.

I am amazed by how easy it is to apply the stripes and to have a perfect manicure in just a few minutes! If you still have questions about how to apply the stripes, visit the official How-to-apply section of their website here.

For more incredible colors and designs visit Incoco, and come back to NailGlaze to see the review of the other to stripes Incoc has sent me.
On the website you will find nail colors, nail designs and french designs. They even have pedicure stripes and gel stripes!

The fact that Incoco is confident enough to send samples to complete strangers for review and trust that they will only get positive feedback says a lot about the quality of their products.
