FingerFood's Theme Buffet: #3 Weather

At first I didn't know what manicure I could possibly do for this theme, but then I remembered that I haven't done a cloud manicure for a while now.

I have chosen 3 shades of blue polish and this is what came out of them:

For this manicure I have used:
  • OPI - I saw ... U saw ... We saw ... Warsaw (from the Euro Centrale Collection)
  • Gabrini - Nr. C06
  • Essence Snow Jam - Goofy-Blue
  • Nubar - White Polka Dot. I have applied one coat of this beautiful polish because it reminds me of stars and snow :-)
Let's have a closer look at my Weather inspired manicure:

This manicure reminds me either of  starry night or snowing :-)

The next theme will be Sparkle! and will be posted on the 26th of January, 2014.
Let's see the other entries too:

OPI Euro Centrale (The Polka Buff)

Hi Girls!

For today's manicure I have used the new OPI polishes, from the Euro Centrale 2013 Spring Collection. I could not decide which one is my favorite so I ended buying 3 from this collection:

From left to right, my beauties:
  • I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw (dark blue)
  • My Vampire is Buff (creamy, nude)
  • Polka.com (light blue and pink glitters) --> it's such a perfect mach, it is easy to mistake it for an indie :-)

Pastel Manicure Nr. 1

Hi Readers!

Together with some nice bloggers we have started a new collaboration with the theme: Pastels.
I find this theme very hard. You can practically do anything using only pastel colors.

My first manicure from this series is modest. On top of the pastel color I have applied some polka dots. They are my weapon of choice for tuning up a manicure.

Products I have used:
  • Orly - Green Apple ( from the Hot Stuff Collection)
  • OPI - My Vampire is Buff (from the Euro Centrale Collection)
  • Nubar - Black Polks Dot (from the Polka Dots Collection)

World Autism Awareness Day Manicure

Hi,

The 2nd of April, 2013 is the 6th annual World Autism Awareness Day. Autism organizations celebrate this day by fundraising and awareness-raising events.

For this occasion I have painted my nails blue. This is my own way of raising the awareness of my environment, as blue is the official color of autism.

My blue manicure:

Products I have used:
  • Ados Cosmetics - Nr. 549
  • Nubar - Black Polka Dot
  • Nubar - White Polka Dot

The Tri-Polish Challenge - Manicure 3

Hi Girls!

It's time for the third manicure from The Tri-Polish Challange. You can find the first two manicures here and here.

This time I have used the green and the coral polishes and made a cloud manicure. Yes know, this doesn't look like a coral polish. I haven't applied it directly on the white polish, but on top of the green one. This is why it looks darker than in the previous manicures.

The Tri-Polish Challenge - Manicure 2

Hi Girls!

Today I am back with the second manicure from The Tri-Polish Challenge. The first manicure is available here.
As you may already know, we are supposed to use the same 3 polishes during the challenge. The shades were chosen by Smashley Sparkles and they are: coral, green and purple.

This time I have used the green and purple polishes which I have spiced up with some white polka dots. :-)
I have painted my nails green, on top of the green base coat I have applied white polka dots and on top of some white dots I have applied purple dots.

Challenge 2: Polka Dots

I have been working on this manicure (including the processing of the pictures) for 2 hours! I don't have much experience with polka dots and therefor it was a challenge to come up with a good combination of colors and dots.

What I have used:
  • Base coat - Farmec
  • Base color in 2 coats - Golden Rose Nr. 110
  • Polka dots - Flormar Nail Art Nr. NA12
  • Top coat -  OPI
  • Home made dotting tool
I was inspired by a see snail I brought last summer in Greece.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Spanish tradition says that wearing new, red underwear on New Year's Eve brings good luck. I have changed this tradition in wearing red nail polish. Hopefully it will bring me good luck in 2013!

On page "2012" or here you will find all manicures presented on the blog in 2012.

Red base color: Bourjois - Nr. 11 Rouge in style

Flormar Teal with Polka dots

As I promised I am back with the second polish. It is a teal color and has a very successful formula, one coat being enough. For making it more interesting I applied some white polka dots:

  • In the sunshine:

  • In the shade:

Flormar Nr. 429 + S-he Stylezone Nr. 306
