In Mood For Black

I have missed Halloween this year... I just wasn't in the mood for it.

My nails aren't in their best shape either. For the past 3 weeks I only wore base coats and applied vitamin A oil daily, before going to sleep. My hair feels always dry, no matter what and how much hair mask, hair conditioner or different nourishing oils I apply.

Now I am taking some supplements (I have done this once a few years ago and it really did help), Beauty Complex from Doppelherz (more info here).

Today I was in mood for black. I think dark colors look great on short nails:

For this manicure I have used:
  • Flormar True Color - Nr. 027 (1 coat of black polish used as a base color)
  • China Glaze - Get Carried Away (2 coats)
  • Astor Pro Manicure - Already dry! (top coat)

I haven't used Get Carried Away for approximately a year, but now I am in love with it! I will be wearing it the whole week!

Get Carried Away has a light black base, with tiny silver glitters, medium sized silver and copper hexagonal glitters. It's a nice combination.

Let yourself Get carried Away! It's still week-end :-)

What do you think about Gilbert? He did grow from the list time I have shown him to you, isn't he?

Gradient Upgrade

Remember: Whenever in doubt, apply glitter!©
This is what I have done with my last gradient manicure (see it here). I don't know if it looks like too much or not, but I personally LOVE it and I'd wear it any time.

The glitter topper I have used over my last manicure is Golden Rose Jolly Jewels - Nr. 120

Golden Rose's Jolly Jewel Nr. 120 is a collection of golden, red, pink and purple glitters of different shapes and sizes. For my manicure I have used only one coat.

Would you wear this manicure or you prefer the original gradient, without the extra glitter topper?

Golden Rose Jolly Jewels Nr. 120 is available online @ www.cosmania.ro

KIKO - Nr. 297 Acid Green with some glitter

As promised, here is a new glitter manicure. It's a really easy one. I have chosen glitter topper and I have applied it over a base color.

The base color is not any color. It's THE color, it's the KIKO polish that has been chosen personally by my boyfriend (more about this here)! I have to admit it was a good choice :-).

For this manicure I have used:
  • KIKO - Nr. 297 Acid Green
  • Trendy Colors (glitter topper) - nr. 107
This time I have applied more glitter. This one was a promise too from my last post :-)

This is the glitter topper I have used. It's a noname brand for me, I haven't heard anything about them, I just found it in a store, it was cheap and I have bought it.

Which one should be next?

Glitter mania reactivated!

A few days ago I was surfing on Pinterest and I entered "glitter manicure" in the search bar ... WOW! There are some extremely beautiful manicures out there!

This was the moment my glitter mania was reactivated! I don't care if it's hard to remove, I am a big girl and I will remove it ... eventually and start over again! :-)

For this manicure I have used:
  • Astor Perfect Stay - Creme Brulee
  • Essence Special Effect Topper - Glorious Aquarius

Yes, I know I could have applied more glitter but I was kind of out of my shape! I promise to do better for my next glitter manicure.

I like it how the nude polish looks when combined with turquoise glitter! Don't you?

Monday Blues: B(l)ack to Blue

The base color from today's manicure is one of my oldest polishes. I think this is the most used polish from my collection :-)

For this manicure I have used:
  • Rimmel - Blue Vogue
  • Golden Rose 3D Glaze - Nr. 09 (one coat)
People often mistake it for black, this is why I have put it next to a black polish, so that the difference is...more visible.

The 3D Glaze glitter topper is actually more purple than blue, but please consider the base color for this theme.

Farmec - Nr. 31

Today I am going to show you a glitter polish made by Farmec, that has been on the market for a while, but I have never tried it ... until now, when Farmec has sent it to me for a review! Now I love it!

Products I have used:
  • Flormar True Color - Nr. 027
  • Farmec  - Nr. 31 -> This polish is part of the DISCO Collection and is available online, here.

I have applied the glitter topper over a simple black polish, in 1 coat!

Farmec - Nr. 31 has tiny pink, blue and purple glitters in a clear base. I think it looks great combined with a dark base color.

What do you think about it, isn't it gorgeous?!

Chaos & Crocodiles - Fireside Nights

Hi Girls!

After a long pause I am going to show you another Chaos & Crocodiles Polish, This time it's going to be the one that inspired my boyfriend to get me this collection: Fireside Nights.

In every picture I have seen of this polish, it was applied over a dark base color. I have decided to do something different. I have applied it in only one coat over OPI - My Vampire is Buff.

Hi dear Reader!

For this manicure I have used one of my favorite blue polishes, from the new OPI Collection, the Euro Centrale. The polish I am speaking about is I Saw... U Saw... We Saw... Warsaw. Beside the color I especially like the name! It's the main reason I have brought it... The love for the color came afterwards :-D.

Products I have used:
  • OPI - I Saw... U Saw... We Saw... Warsaw
  • NYC - Nr. 105 Lights-Camera Glitter

Polishes from Hungary

Hi Girls!

I have spent my last weekend in Hungary, Hajduszoboszló at the local Aqua Palace  Although the main purpose of this weekend was to relax I couldn't fight visiting a Rossmann store in search of some new nail polishes.

This is the little haul I came home with:

From left to right:
  • NYC - Nr. 105 Lights-Camera-Glitter
  • Essence - Peel off base coat
  • Essence Nail Art Special Effect! Topper - Nr. 13 Mrs and Mr Glitter
  • Essence Nail Art Special Effect! Topper - Nr. 10 Glorious Aquarius

I had been dreaming of this polish from the moment I've seen it here and now I finally got it :-D. I am talking about Lovely Color Mania - Nr. 166.

NYC - Nr. 105 Lights-Camera-Glitter
This is a glitter polish containing light blue, light pink hexagonal glitters and silver dot glitters.
I plan to use it on top of a dark blue polish.

Essence Nail Art Special Effect! Topper - Nr. 13 Mrs and Mr Glitter
Another glitter polish, this time only with hexagonal glitters. It contains 3 colors: light green, blue and black.

Essence Nail Art Special Effect! Topper - Nr. 10 Glorious Aquarius
At first I didn't want to buy this one but my boyfriend liked it so much I couldn't leave it there. Now it's one of my favorites, I am so glad I have brought it! This polish is all about blue and turquoise glitters in different shapes and sizes.

Essence - Peel off base coat
This product is just amazing! I love it! It's like...fallen from the glitter polish heaven :-D. It takes under a minute to remove the "worst" glitter I own: Milani Jewel FX in 3 coats!

Lovely Color Mania - Nr. 166
As I have said, this polish is a dream came true. On top of all, it had only cost me 246 Ft. That's about 4 RON or 1 EURO!
