Farmec Collection - Go Get Them, Girl

Another really nice Farmec Collection polish is "Go Get Them, Girl".
It's a dark green polish, more wearable at autumn then at winter.

To get this dark shade, I have applied two coats of it. It's similar to Avon - Green With Envy (see it here)

There's nothing much to say about it ... I just can't believe how green the grass was a week ago, when I took these pictures... unlike today morning, when the whole picture turned white:

If you like this shade, come back tomorrow and check out the upgraded version of it :-)

Farmec Collection - It's Freezing Out There

Here comes another Farmec Collection polish :-). This time it's a nice light grey, a shade I often applied onto my nails this year because I find it easy to wear with any casual outfit.

Farmec - It's Freezing Out There

Indeed, it's freezing! This morning we woke up to this wonderful winter image:

Today it is only a simple grey polish, but tomorrow will have something on it!

Farmec Collection - Honey, I'm Home

I'll start this Holiday Season with a Collection that is very dear to me: the Farmec Autumn-Winter Collection! The collection is available here.

I got this Collection at the 3rd Edition of the Beauty Bloggers Meet-Up in Cluj (I have presented the event here) and I have been waiting since to have some free time and try them. The first of this series will be Honey, I'm Home. They're so good, that these polishes have real names, not just numbers! They have character this way, they are special :-)

Farmec - Honey, I'm Home

Honey, I'm Home is a saturated orange with tiny shimmering pearly particles. It's in fact the perfect polish for Halloween.

In the next post I will show you the same polish with some design on it too, so stay close!

KIKO - Nr. 533 Pearly Golden Green

I can't believe we are in the middle of August and that this is my first post from this month. Sorry for this long pause. I would like to post daily but there is so much going on right now that I only have time for a base coat or a simple quick manicure.

My nails from today are also simple but they are spiced with some flowers. My first flowers actually, I personally planted the seeds and I am so proud of them :-) They are the perfect background for the golden green KIKO.

KIKO - Nr. 530 Pearly Blue Peacock

It's time to show you a new KIKO polish. As I couldn't decide which one to chose, I listened to +Jeune Fille. She suggested in a comment to my post about KIKO - Nr. 297 Acid Green that Pearly Blue Peacock should be the next :-)

I guess she knew something, because this polish is fantastic!

KIKO - Nr. 530 Pearly Blue Peacock
It's available online @ KIKO Make Up Milano

For this effect I have used 2 coats and a top coat. I just love how it shines! It's marvelous. I was lucky to have perfect daylight while taking the pictures. Trust me, this is the real color!

Although it's a very shiny polish, it's easy to remove because it's more holo than glitter.. You don't have to worry about this aspect.

How about some pink?

My gift for my birthday, on the 22nd of April, was a trip to Barcelona, Spain. It was a huuuge surprise from my boyfriend. I found out that we are  heading to Barcelona only a few hours before out plane took off!

Besides visiting this AMAZING city I got to visit my favorite a KIKO Store! It was like heaven! You know me, I had to buy ... "something" and these bottles were my choice :-). Except the green from the right corner! That was a a gift from my boyfriend, he personally chose it!

I have tried 4 so far and I love them all so far! I begin the KIKO Series with the left corner so ... let's get pink!

KIKO - Nr. 282

This post will be really pic heavy because the color is beautiful. So powerful and yet girly :-)

Let's take a closer look ...

And finally, together with my handmade soap:

2014 Swatch Naming Championship

Today's post will be about a quiz... one created by http://www.nailpolishcanada.com/. Be careful if you're thinking of visiting the site, though... I visited the site while writing this post and my heart is filled with pain that I can't buy all the polishes they are selling :-).

The story of this quiz is rather interesting. The girls at  http://www.nailpolishcanada.com/ are always arguing about who is the best polish expert and they are testing each other by asking polish related questions. So they decided to make an online quiz which can be used to test any polish lover's knowledge. They've asked a few bloggers to send in a swatch with two possible answers: the correct name of the polish and the name of a similar looking polish. True experts can prove themselves by choosing the correct polish name as many times as possible during the quiz.

I got the chance to be part of this quiz, courtesy of Tiffany. So I've sent her a swatch and two possible shades names as answers.

My choice was:

Is it "The More The Merrier" by Essie or "Green Apple" by Orly? I encourage you to take the quiz yourself and find out which the correct answer is :-) You'll also find there several other challenging questions. Good luck!

Nail Polish Canada Swatch Challenge

I personally got 15 swatches right and earned myself a Gold Winner badge.

Let me know in the comments section how much have you scored.

I Love Hean - Nr. 810

The nail polish that I will be showing you today has really surprised me. I will be honest with you. I only ordered it because it was cheap :-). I wasn't looking for a new polish or a new shade, I just ordered it because I couldn't miss the chance to buy a new polish (beside the approx. 30 bottles I haven't tested yet).

I applied it without much enthusiasm, but once it was on my nails I fell in love with it!

This is I love Hean - Nr. 810. Well ... My point exactly! I Love Hean! :-) They couldn't find a better fitting name for this brand!

I have bought it from www.magiq.ro for only 7 RON (approx. 1.5 EUR / 2 USD).

It's not just a simple light blue, but it has a really nice somewhat darker, holographic blue shimmer in it.

Now I wonder ... is the whole I Love Hean Collection as beautiful as this one, or was I just lucky by choosing exactly this shade?

http://www.magiq.ro/produse-pentru-unghii/hean.html
Nr. 810 is the second bottle from the first row.

And one more important thing: it's 3 Free! This polish contains no Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, and Formaldehyde.
