T.P.A. Group Challenge: 6. Inspired by Tattoos

Hi Girls!

I am back with a new manicure from The Polish Addict Group Challenge: Inspired by Tattoos.

Products I have used:
  • Miyo Nailed it! - Nr. 28. This is my newest acquisition and I already love it. I have used it in two coats and it dried fast. I am sensitive to this characteristic of a polish :-).  You find the polish at www.magiq.ro
  • Flormar True Color - Nr. 027
  • Konad image plate - Nr. m77
  • Born Pretty Store - Black stamping polish
I am not that into tattoos, so my manicure is practically a stamped image. If it were to make myself a tattoo, I could imagine the leafs from the manicure on my shoulder.

I love how this manicure turned out. I find the black - mint combination fabulous! And those dots... Sorry for being so "modest" but I really really like my nails today :-)

The next challenge will be Inspired by Celebrity Nails and will be posted on the 12th of October, 2013.

Let's check out the other manicures too:

Save Rosia Montana Manicure

Hi Everybody!

My following manicure carries a very important message. I have designed it to draw attention to the Rosia Montana mining project and I'm dedicating it to saving the settlement Rosia Montana. For those of you who have not heard about this controversial project, the mining project at Rosia Montana, in Romania, is planned to be the largest open pit mining project in Europe. It's sole purpose is to extract a huge amount of gold, silver and other precious metals and in the process it will completely destroy the historical settlement of Rosia Montana, which is the oldest Romanian settlement, the gold having been exploited here already in ancient Roman times. This destructive project would extract all the precious metals over a period of about 25 years and it would involve wiping 4 beautiful mountains off the face of Earth, replacing them with a cyanide waste lake so huge that it would be visible from the Moon with naked eye and almost 200 meters deep. The cyanide waste lake would constitute a very serious environmental threat to Romania and its surrounding countries over a period of about 150 years. The project has been characterized all along by political corruption, with laws being voted in favor of the Rosia Montana Gold Corporation, which would greatly benefit from the project, leaving Romania with little profit and the Romanian people with a destroyed homeland. The Romanian people protest against this project, but the leadership does not seem to listen. So this is my way of protesting. Help us spread the word and save Rosia Montana!

Products I have used:
  • Acrylic paints
  • Gold glitter

I couldn't recreate the official leaf from the logo but I think it is recognizable this way too.

The little finger and the thumb simbolise the gold in the brown earth. The three fingers from the middle simbolise the Salvati Rosia Montana Movement. There are 3 leaves and only 2 golden nails, symbolizing the hope that Rosia Montana will be saved, the environment and the people being more important than the gold.

Challenge 19: Black and White

Hi Girls!

This Saturday's challenge is: Black and White. For this challenge I decided to break out of my comfort zone. This means no stamping, no dotting and no stripes, but something freehand. While I was struggling with my nonexistent muse, I saw a plant in my mani-corner :-D. Bling!!! I will paint a black and white leaf :-)
