Beauty Bloggers Meeting Cluj 3rd Edition

On the 8th of November, 2014 I was invited to the 3rd Edition of the Beauty Bloggers Meeting in Cluj.

The event was organized by Cleopatra Coman (http://passionforstylishlife.com/),
Anca Pop (http://aquashells.blogspot.ro/) and Laura Opris (http://classyandpink.com/) with the help of the co-organizer Farmec, at the Centrul de frumusete Farmec.

For the first time, the event also had a dressing code: Celebrity Inspired. I have chosen a simple black and white dress with red shoes. I have seen this outfit on Olivia Wilde :-)

The evening began with a short introduction of the participants. Although this is the 3rd edition of the Beauty Bloggers Meeting in Cluj, from year to year there are always new faces.
It was nice to hear that some of the bloggers have managed to transform their hobbies into a business and it's staring to work for them.

In the coffee break we had the chance to taste the delicious raw sweets made by Rawana. Their web site is at the moment under construction, but you can find them near the food court in Iulius Mall.

The event had a guest speaker, Luiza from Oriflame. She is the Online Communications Manager at Oriflame and revealed how the companies think about the collaborations with the bloggers, what expectations they have, and how they (at least at Oriflame Roamnia) are trying to turn the one time collaborations into long term relationships.

I also took a picture with the nail bloggers from Cluj :-)

With Iulia Beldean (http://iuliabeldean.blogspot.ro/) and Mihaela Dobosi (http://www.lacquerbuzz.com/)
The evening couldn't end without the goodie bags! Yeah!
All the participants got the following goodies:

Pantene: Anti Hair Fall Shampoo

C-THRU: Deodorant body spray + Eau de toilette Pure Illusion

Oriflame: the new perfume Possess and a whole True Perfection face care program (day cream, night cream, face serum and eye creme). I already started using it and I LOVE it.

Dove: Shower gel and Body Lotion

Elmiplant: Anti Wrinkle Cream and CC Cream. I wanted to try this CC Cream for a long time and now I have the chance to do it!

Yves Rocher:  a lot of goodies :-). Body Lotion with Olive Oil, eye shadow, Body and Hair Oil, Shower gel with roses, Gentle Make-up Remover, Evidence Eau de Parfum and a Clay Mask for face and hair.

Sephora: CC Cream, Tinted Wash Off Tan Lotion and the polish I was looking for a looong time: a simple silver glitter topper (Silver Fever)

Sephora: Silver Fever

Melkior: Liquid Eye Liner, Extra Volume Mascara, Lipstick, a mirror. I have never ever worn a red lipstick. It's about time I try it :-)

Farmec (my favorites): the whole autumn-winter collection and a wrinkle blur creme. The Polishes, from left to right are: Your Highness, Go Get the Girl, Stanta's Here, It's Freezing out There, Enjoy Your dark Side, Honey I'm Home, Tree's Rock. Of course, a new and detailed post about these polishes will follow!

Rouge Boutique: Cuticle Balsam, Post Waxing & Shaving Serum
The organizers have also thought about giving us a diploma. I received one for being the "Best Nail Artist". Thank you!

During the event, refreshments were offered by Aqua Carpatica.  At home I only drink this kind of water, it's really the best I found on our market! Totally recommend it!

BPS - Water Decals

In this post I am going to show you some water decals, that were sent to me by Born Pretty Store for a review.

For this manicure I have used:

The decals come on paper (as in the above picture) and you have to cut out the shapes that you want to apply onto your nails. The tiny cut out decals separate from the paper after you sink them in water.

After I have applied the decals I have applied also a top coat to make sure that the decals will stay on my nails.

Check out Born Pretty Store for some great nail art products. Using  the code VNL91 you will get 10% of from your order with FREE shipping worldwide ;-)

Trind Caring Color - Miss O'Hara CC203

Are you curious how the nail polish from the Rouge-Boutique can looks like? :-)

In my last post I have shown you the Nail Brightener that was in the can, today I am showing you the nail polish.

I have my ups and downs with girly colors, like red, pink, coral or lilac. There are times I can't stand to see pink or red on my nails and there are times I can't get enough of them. Right now I am in the Love it phase!

The polish is Trind Nail Lacquer Seasonal - Miss O'Hara CC203. You can find this collection here, but the are a "few" more nice shades over here.

For this manicure I have applied two coats of nail polish and I obtained the exact same color I saw in the bottle.

The thick and quick drying formula is a pro for this polish. The fact that it has a simple straight brush was kind of a disappointment to me. Although it's a white and soft brush, not that traditional straight and black one, it's not the same experience as applying with a maxi, rounded brush.

All in one, a big like for this polish. If you like, you can buy directly from here. It costs 40 RON + shipping. That's almost as much as an OPI.

Naked and Not Ashamed

Do you remember the big mysterious red box I got as a Christmas present from Rouge-Boutique? I certainly did not forget it! If you had forgotten, you can find my first post about it here. As I have shown at the beginning of the year, my nails have changed drastically since I began using Trind Cosmetics Products, even after only two weeks. If you can't believe it, see the evolution here. I have used Nail Balsam and Nail Repair simultaneously, daily, for two weeks in a row.

After I used up all  my Nail Balsam I was really sad, because the online shop was not active yet. So I waited and waited, and a couple of days ago a mysterious red can has been shipped to me. I had the feeling that it was because the shop went online and ... I was right!!!!! Finally!

I really recommend you to try Trind Cosmetics products. Visit the online shop by clicking here and choose between nail care products, nail treatments, nail polishes and accessories. The moment I saw it's open I ordered a new bottle of Nail Balsam. It's not the cheapest nail hardener out there (55 RON + shipping for a 9 ml bottle)  but it's certainly wort it!

But what was inside the mysterious red can?

It was a Nail Brightener and a nail polish :-) Today I will show you  just what a big difference can the Nail Brightener make.

I have to admit that I was a little skeptical at first, because it has a strange purplish color, like some of the UV top coats. (The manufacturer recommends it to be used over Nail Repair or Nail Matt for an amazing affect and strong nails, but I only read these lines after I have applied it). Although I wasn't that excited about it, I gave it the benefit of a doubt :-)

This is how my nails look when they are naked, after I remove my nail polish:

And this is how they look after the Nail Brightener is applied:

As I presumed, the strange color persist, but it isn't that annoying
I got used to it and people surprisingly noticed, that my nails looks good :-)

The Nail Brightener is available online, here and it costs 63 RON + shipping.

Next time I will be using it over Nail Repair. Nail Repair has a light creamy white color and the light purplish Nail Brightener will surely look nice on top of it.

Trind Natural Nail Care - After 2 Weeks of Use

Happy New Year!

I begin the new year with my bare nails :-). I want to show you my nails after 2 weeks of using only Trind Cosmetics products for my daily nail care. As I said in my previous post, I planned to use Nail Repair as a base coat. Since that post I have used it with several dark colored polishes as OPI Holiday Glow, OPI The Spy Who Loved Me, OPI It's My Year and Golden Rose Matte Velvet Nr. 104. I am very pleased with how it protects my nails. They show absolutely no sign of discoloration. They even look more white than they did 2 weeks ago. If you don't believe me, just take a look at the following pictures:

Day 1 (more info and pictures here

Day 5

1 Week

2 Weeks

Once again, but a little more compressed :-)

Last week I also started using the Soft Cuticle Pen. It's special formula, containing Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Almond Oil, vitamin A, C and E softens the cuticles and the dried skin around the nail. I have applied this product approximately once a day. I know it's a "sin" but I used to cut my cuticles... Since using Trind Cosmetics I haven't cut them but because they were hydrated. On one hand it was the Soft Cuticle Pen, but on the other was my will of stopping cutting them. Hopefully I will be able to keep my cuticles intact and hydrated in the future. This could be a New Years Resolution :-)

I have started applying Hand Repair hand creme more often. Especially after I have hydrated my cuticles. It has a non greasy formula which I loved, and a really creamy fragrance. I can't tell if the creme has made any changes to my skin, since it has always been hydrated, even before the creme. I have always kept my hands hydrated using hand creme several times a day. I even have a hand creme which I keep in the car. I like to say: "Whenever in doubt ... hand creme" :-D.

I am still to try the Magic Nail Buffer and the nice pink nail polish I have received from Rogue-Boutique.

Until next time,
